Faith and the Environment

Stirling Methodist Church is an active eco-congregation and has over the past hosted a number of events on the environment including the first anti-fracking meeting outside of Edinburgh. We have also been involved in the  pension fund divestment campaign from fossil fuels. This included starting the successful campaign to divest all Methodist Funds of fossil fuel investments. We have also hosted speakers from Fiji speaking about how climate change is affecting the nations of the Pacific and Dr. Arthur Dahl, retired Deputy Director of the United Nations Environmental Programme.
