About this event
As part of the Art Collection at the University of Stirling’s year of health and wellbeing we are delighted to offer you an introductory session into the world of Forest Bathing.
“Nature heals…sitting, sharing space with nature, admiring beauty, or simply playing amongst it…nature is awesome”
Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-yoku is the practise of immersing yourself in nature; ‘bathing’ in the awesome goodness that trees release into the atmosphere; reaping the benefits from magic little things called ‘phytoncides’ and receiving mental calmness from the fractal patterns, vibrant shades of green and calming blues around us.
This session will be led by Cath Wright of Highland Quietlife. Cath will guide you through a series of invitations aimed at opening your senses and reconnecting you with yourself and the environment around you. The session will finish with a traditional tea ceremony to bring the experience to a close.
This event is free but places are limited so it is important to register for a place in advance.
Attendees should meet at the front of the Pathfoot Building at the University of Stirling where the session will begin
