The New Corporation – Documentary Screening

October 13, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free screening of this punchy documentary about big business’ desperate efforts to make profit and the movements that are challenging them!

From the filmmakers of 2003’s global hit “The Corporation” comes this “unfortunately necessary sequel”, a punchy documentary which investigates how the corporate takeover of society is being justified by the sly rebranding of corporations as socially-conscious entities.

From the climate crisis to racial injustice and surging inequality, The New Corporation lays bare the disturbing realities of companies’ desperation to achieve profit at any cost.

Far from a sigh of despair, however, the film also celebrates the groundswell of movements taking to the streets in pursuit of justice and the planet’s future – providing a rallying cry for social justice, deeper democracy and transformative solutions.

Come and watch the film, then stay on for audience discussion and a chance to hear more about Global Justice Now’s campaigns to challenge the power of corporations and what we can all be doing in the run-up to the COP26 UN climate talks in Glasgow in November.

This screening is part of the Stirling Climate Festival 2021, from 11-17 October.

Please take a lateral flow before attending this in-person event. You can order test kits here
